About Masters Athletics
Masters Athletics commences at 30 years of age in Australia.
NT Athletics is very keen to attract more “other sports” people in the ages 30 – 34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49 and up and join past Australian representatives in their NT team.
The aim is to build depth in all events that cover, sprints, relays and hurdles, throwing, jumping and distance running including cross country and steeple chase events.
“It’s great to see the momentum for the Championship build and “other sports” people embracing the once in every eight year opportunity for the NT. We are really hopeful of bringing many of the “other sports” and health minded people together through the opportunity to represent the NT at a National Championship, that’s going to be like an old school athletics carnival.” Steve McGugan. Chairperson Darwin AMA Championships LOC.
